After nearly 10 years in the same role, you’d be in your right mind to consider a BIG career move. But, seriously though, what’s the next step for a man in the most powerful positions in the world? Decisions, decisions…
Yes, Barack Obama ends his eight-year tenure as U.S. president on January 20th. But blissful beach holidays with Michelle? Two months off to spend time with the family / catch up with old pal and VP Joe Biden? Oh no - it seems he may not be out of a job for long.
Recently Obama quipped that he was holding out ‘I'm still waiting for my job at Spotify ... Cuz' I know y'all loved my playlist," while he was speaking to Natalia Brzezinski, CEO of Symposium Stockholm, a technology, music and fashion festival in Sweden.
Well you’re in luck, Mr. President – as a newly created job opportunity was tweeted out by Spotify CEO Daniel Ek this week: the ‘President of Playlists,’ no less.
Interested? The ideal candidate would ‘provide world-class leadership to our playlist editors and supporting staff,’ and ‘have at least eight years experience running a highly-regarded nation.’
Famous music pals is a big bonus, too. ‘Have good relationships with a wide range of artists and musicians. Ever had Kendrick Lamar play at your birthday bash? We’d love to hear about it!’
Above all, the ‘President of Playlists’ is ‘someone with good team spirit, excellent work ethic, a friendly and warm attitude, and a Nobel Peace Prize.’
This definitely constitutes a first-round interview, right?
