FYI, Barack Obama and Joe Biden are still the best of friends despite their long distance relationship.

We have to admit, that one of the first things we feared when Donald Trump was sworn in as the 45th President of the United States was that it may bring about an end to the national treasure that is, ‘Joebama’.

But we have breaking news that is set to put you in high spirits for the rest of the day. According to People, Barack and Joe are still best buds. The former president’s chief of staff, Anita Decker Breckenridge, told the publication: “The bromance continues. It’s not ended. That’s one of the things I would say, you know… What does he miss about the White House? I mean, they had lunch every single week for eight years.”

In fact, the pair have been making an effort to hang out post-presidency. The first time Barack and Joe got together following the inauguration ceremony, was to celebrate Obamas’ new offices. The pair bagged a cheese platter from the local supermarket along with some cheap bottles of wine. Our kind of guys.

But was it awkward when the pair reunited? Former White House press aide, Peter Velz, told People: “The vice president walked in and he and President Obama embraced and then immediately clicked back into the relationship they had working together.” Thank goodness.

The last time the pair got together was reportedly for a ‘few rounds of golf’.
