Barack Obama has reminded us that he’s the ‘cool dad’ of politics on numerous occasions. Who doesn’t remember his epic mic drop during the final White House correspondents’ dinner to the words, ‘Obama out’?

Regularly caught catching up with A-list besties including Kanye West, Beyoncé and Jay Z, there’s nobody we’ve ever wanted to hang out with more. And most recently, he’s been spotted partying with Usher.

This weekend, Barack hosted the final music-based event of his presidency on the South Lawn of the White House. The BET’s Love and Happiness, drew a crowd of famous faces including Usher, who just so happened to capture one of Barack’s greatest presidential moments to date.

In the clip, Barack can be seen dancing (twerking) amid the crowds to Drake’s Hotline Bling, his hips moving and his shirt unbuttoned. Clearly he’s taking a well-deserved break from his eight years in the White House...

And it seems he’ll miss the role as much as we’ll miss him, as he spoke candidly about the memories he’s had over the years in an opening speech: “We’ve had Bob Dylan and we’ve had Jennifer Hudson. Gloria Estefan and Los Lobos. Aretha, Patti, Smokey. I’ve had Paul McCartney singing Michelle to Michelle and Stevie singing Happy Birthday. We’ve had Buddy Guy and Mick Jagger getting me to sing Sweet Home.”

He continued: “So this has been one of our favourite traditions, and it’s with a little bit of bittersweetness that this is our final musical evening as President and First Lady.”
