Despite stepping down from their prestigious position as President and First Lady of the United States of America earlier this year, they've not ceased to give us lessons in love.
Barack Obama gave an acceptance speech for the John F. Kennedy Library Foundation’s ‘Profile in Courage’ award on Sunday. And of course, made sure to give a shout out to his wife, Michelle.
In the moving speech, he said: "I also want to thank Michelle Obama for, after the presidency, sticking with me. Because I think she felt an obligation to the country to stay on, but once her official duties were over, it wasn't clear."
He continued, "I love my wife and I'm grateful for her, and I do believe that it was America's great good fortune to have her as First Lady."
We couldn't agree more, Barack.
The couple met in the late 1980s at Sidley & Austin, a local law firm. By 1991 they were engaged and wed the following year.
The rest is history.
