If the announcement that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are set to divorce has thrown you seriously off balance, rest assured that you are not alone.
While the Internet has decided to respond to the news by pushing out an endless series of Jennifer Aniston gifs (it’s been 12 years; we’re pretty sure she’s over it), a handful of A-listers have – whether deliberately or not – given us some more creative reactions.
Chrissy Teigen reacts to Brad and Angelina's split
First up was Twitter super-user Chrissy Teigen, who can always be relied upon to deal us a pithy and relatable angle on Hollywood goings-on.

George Clooney finds out about Brad and Angelina's split on air
George Clooney, meanwhile, was caught off-guard when a CNN reporter quizzed him about his thoughts on the break-up.
A close friend of the couple, the actor was attending a summit on the refugee crisis at the United Nations building in New York when the news was broken to him by CNN’s Richard Roth.
Asked for his response to the split, Clooney responded with ‘What happened?’ Once he had been brought up to speed, he replied with, ‘I didn’t know that. Wow. I feel very sorry, then.’
‘That’s a sad story, then. That’s unfortunate for a family. That’s an unfortunate story about a family. I feel very sorry to hear that. It’s the first I’ve heard of it,’ he clarified.
Adele dedicates her concert to Brad and Angelina
As queen of the break-up anthem, it was only fitting that Adele should make reference to Brangelina’s break-up at the latest date on her 25 world tour, a sell-out show at New York’s Madison Square Garden.
Asking her audience if she could discuss ‘the elephant in the room, that Brangelina broke up,’ the singer referred to the divorce as ‘the end of an era.’
In between songs, she decided to dedicate her show to the couple.
‘I’m dedicating this show tonight to them,’ she said. ‘I don’t like all the gossip, and personal lives are private,’ she added, before admitting, ‘I woke up this morning, and I was shocked.’ If anything’s going to get us through this celebrity break-up, it’s Adele’s live version of Someone Like You…
Earlier this week it was revealed that Angelina Jolie has filed for divorce from Brad Pitt after two years of marriage, citing ‘irreconcilable differences’ as a reason for the split. Angelina has asked for physical custody of the couple’s six children, with Brad to receive visitation rights.
