In this new post-Meghan & Harry documentary era, it's an understatement to say that everyone's talking about the Duchess of Sussex. From a true account of how she and Prince Harry really met to the root of her love of camel coats, the documentary gave viewers a rare insight into life as the Sussexes.
In between the in-depth interview segments, the series offered up snapshot after snapshot of the couple's off-duty life together. Not only did these wholesome glimpses into Meghan and Harry's Montecito life show just how much of a respite LA is affording them, they also painted a vivid picture of Meghan's take on wellness.
Meghan gave many an interview during her Suits days, and frequently extolled the virtues of yoga - her mother Doria Ragland is a yoga instructor after all - as well as face massage and acupuncture. The documentary also made clear that both Meghan and Harry have a penchant for hiking, for taking walks to secluded spots and using it as a time to be closer to nature.

1. Meghan Markle on her flexitarian diet
Meghan once revealed that she likes to follow a plant-based diet during the week, easing off restrictions at the weekend. In an interview with Best Health magazine she said, 'When I’m filming, I’m conscious of what I eat. I try to eat vegan during the week and then have a little bit more flexibility with what I dig into on the weekends. It's all about balance'.
2. Meghan Markle on her love of yoga and pilates
Meghan’s mum Doria was a yoga instructor so it’s no great surprise that she herself enjoys a bit of movement on the mat. 'My mom was a yoga instructor so that practice is in my blood. I love an intense vinyasa class - and even better if it's blasting hip-hop and done in a dark room with candlelight,' she told _Women's Health.){href='https://www.womenshealthmag.com/uk/fitness/a705034/meghan-markle-food-workout-meditation/)' target='blank' rel='noreferrer noopener nofollow' class='add-referrer-link'}
When Meghan was living in London, it was reported that she also attended Pilates classes at the studio Heartcore, before having a yoga studio built into Frogmore Cottage where she lived with Prince Harry.
3. Meghan Markle on using exercise as a form of meditation
As well as attending yoga and Pilates classes, Meghan once revealed that she likes to run for both the physical and mental benefits. Speaking to Women's Health she said, 'running has always been my form of moving meditation, which I relish because it allows me to get out of my head.'
4. Meghan Markle on her favourite daily supplements
During an interview with The Chalkboard, Meghan revealed that she takes daily supplements in the form of magnesium, B-12 drops, multivitamins and ashwagandha - a renowned stress reliever.
5. Meghan Markle on her favourite wellness treatments
During the same interview with The Chalkboard, Meghan spoke about her love for treating herself to wellness treatments. 'I have been a longtime believer in acupuncture and cupping. I used to have debilitating migraines (hospitalized for them), and acupuncture and Eastern medicine absolutely changed my life. Migraine-free living is a game changer.'
6. Meghan Markle on her love of facial massage
Meghan has spoken before about her love of Nicola Joss’ facial massage, saying 'she literally sculpts your face from the inside out – the most bizarre and rejuvenating facial of all time when a woman has her hands in your mouth. Hurts so good!'
7. Meghan Markle on learning to love meditation
During an article with Elle Canada, Meghan revealed that her ideal day includes walking her dogs and meditating. 'On days I don’t make it to my mat, I always make some time to meditate; I was skeptical for years, but it truly does wonders!'
8. Meghan Markle on green juices over coffee
While it comes to no surprise to us that Meghan enjoys a green juice (she an LA resident after all), she revealed that one of the best ways to re-energize during the day is to swap out your coffee for something greener. Speaking to Today.com, she said, 'It's easy to fall into the trap of rushing for a coffee when you hit that 4pm slump. I blend some apple, kale, spinach, lemon, and ginger in my Vitamix in the morning, and I always find that sipping on that is a much better boost than a cup of espresso.'
9. Meghan Markle on journalling
In an interview with the Teenager Therapy podcast, Markle opened up about how journaling has helped her when she's overwhelmed. 'It allows me to reflect on where I’ve come from and with that comes a lot of perspective. Sometimes when you’re going through something it feels like the biggest thing in the entire world and then you look back at it in a year and yeah it was still big. It wasn’t that big, comparatively,' she shared.
