We knew David Beckham was serious about wellness the moment we saw him on Beckham, Netflix's documentary, produce his own honey and clip the wicks of his candles before going to bed. There's also the fact he is a fragrance brand founder, having worked with beauty conglomerate Coty for the last 20 years to produce David Beckham Fragrances, boasting a range of scents. He's serious about skincare, too, having teamed up with L’Oréal Luxe to launch HOUSE 99 in 2018, which takes a holistic approach to grooming. In fact, he's known to dabble in his wife's skincare range, Victoria Beckham Beauty.Perhaps, then, it's not such a surprise to know Beckham is on the cusp of launching into the wellness space with a new brand, IM8.

What is David Beckham's new wellness brand IM8?

Expanding his business empire, Beckham has become 'a strategic investor and co-founding partner of @IM8Health, a brand focused on health & wellness,' according to the new brand's Instagram page.

With a focus on products that will look to 'harnessing the power of the earth, perfected by science, to create solutions made for the human body,' IM8 will deliver cutting-edge consumer wellness buys developed with leading scientists, including NASA’s former chief scientist.

Of the partnership, in a statement Beckham said, 'Throughout my life and career, I've been fortunate to have access to the best medical professionals, nutrition experts and fitness coaches. Their guidance has been crucial to my health and well-being. That’s why I am excited to be working with Prenetics - a company that is dedicated to innovative, world-leading scientific advancements in health - as a co-founding partner and ambassador for IM8.'

What will IM8 offer?

While the details of the brand's offerings haven't been announced quite yet, it is worth noting biotech firm Prenetics was founded in 2014 in Hong Kong and has since earned a reputation for genetic profiling services, disease prevention, DNA-based colon cancer screening products and, as of 2023 thanks to a  $200 million joint venture with molecular biologist Dennis Lo, focuses on research into multi-cancer and disease early detection technologies. Safe to say the consumer initiative from Prenetics, IM8, will promise serious new-gen, health-forward wellness buys.

When does IM8 launch?

The brand has remained tight lipped on this so far, but you can now join the waitlist to be the first to hear about IM8's developments.
