'It all feels like a bit of a whirlwind,' says Pixie Lott from her London hotel room as she gets ready to attend the Louboutin X Selfridges Corner Shop collaboration - 'Loubi's on the Beach' - alongside husband Oliver Cheshire, a mere three days after tying the knot in Cambridgeshire's Ely Cathedral, 'we haven't had any time to process it all, but it was the best day of my life and I loved every single second of it.'

Pixie wore a custom Schiaparelligown designed by Daniel Roseberry. 'I really wanted the dress to do the talking,' says Pixie, 'Daniel and I had a few initial Zoom meetings during lockdown, and his attention to detail was amazing, he started asking me what my favourite films were, my favourite perfumes, flowers, colours, any special little stories or anecdotes that might be relevant, then he went on to make these incredible sketches, which he shipped over to me in the most beautiful box. The whole experience was incredible.'

Once travel opened up again post-pandemic, Pixie began flitting back and forth to Paris for fittings. 'Schiaparelli have this beautiful house on the Place Vendôme, it was there that I first tried on the structure of the dress, my mum and I were in tears, it was more beautiful than I could have ever imagined, and I hadn't even seen the finished article.' Pixie's signature style is so all-encompassing that it must have been difficult to hit on 'the one' . 'Choosing a style was quite overwhelming, I won't lie,' says Pixie, 'I wanted something fitted and clean, but with real drama too, it ticked every box.'

It goes without saying that if you're wearing Parisian couture and getting married in a cathedral, then it's likely you're going to want to level up in the hair and beauty department too. 'Make-up wise I had a full face of Givenchy Beauty applied by Caroline Barnes, who's been doing my make-up for years,' says Pixie. Caroline first worked with Pixie when she was just 16. 'I knew I wanted to have fresh, glowing make-up, and we spoke a lot about having a natural flush across my cheeks.' As for skin prep? 'I started well ahead of the wedding day,' says Pixie, 'I made sure to take a collagen supplement every day for around two-to-three months in the lead-up - Vida Glow is my go-to brand, and I used their Radiance Tablets too. I've really noticed a difference in my skin.'

'I really wanted to step things up before the wedding,' says Pixie, who booked in for regular skin treatments too, 'I had a few HydraFacials and cryotherapy facials, and I got my lashes done as well - tinting and a lash lift.'

Pixie spent the morning of her wedding getting ready in the Lady Chapel, an area attached to Ely Cathedral. 'I went from my little cottage to the Lady Chapel with my bridesmaids,' Pixie had 12 bridesmaids in total, 'and then all the preparations got going, Larry King and his team were there for hair, Caroline and the Givenchy Beauty team for make-up, it was magical, exactly what I wanted.' Her top advice for soon-to-be brides? 'Try to take it all in if you can,' she says, 'it's difficult, everything whizzes by so quickly, but really soak it up.'
