Dr Jill Biden is a wildly impressive woman. An English teacher at Northern Virginia Community College she earned a doctorate in education from the University of Delaware in 2007 and was the first Second Lady to continue to work a paying job. Now firmly in her spot as First Lady, it goes without saying that we can't wait to see where Dr Biden takes her role in the coming years.
Naturally with the position of First Lady comes an unparalleled level of attention. The masses will be clamouring to know what designers Dr Biden is wearing, who is doing her hair and yes, what skincare and make-up products she's favouring in the moment. Well, last week we got a sneak peek at her pre-shoot skincare routine and one brand in particular dominated proceedings.
Last week President Biden and First Lady Dr Biden were photographed for People magazine for their first interview since entering the White House. Needless to say this was a big deal. Make-up artist Casey Geren was in charge of Dr Biden's make-up look on the day and used 111SKIN's skincare range to prep her skin and a handful of cult classic make-up must-haves to create her glowing cover look.

It comes as no surprise, therefore, that the skincare range was a go-to for Casey Geren when it came to prepping Dr Biden's skin for her biggest interview and photo shoot in recent months. Here's what Casey had to say about the skincare regimen:
'To cleansed skin I applied the 111SKIN Energising Essence as I like how quickly it hydrates and primes the skin.
This is magic in a bottle. I was introduced to this product by a fellow make-up artist and was immediately obsessed with it
Next I applied 111SKIN Y Theorem Repair Serum. This is magic in a bottle. I was introduced to this product by a fellow make-up artist and was immediately obsessed with it. It’s great at reducing redness and soothing the skin especially sensitive skin types.
Lastly, to finish prepping the skin, I used the 111SKIN Y Theorem Day Cream in combination with the serum. They are both fast-acting and give a great hydrated and smooth canvas before makeup application.'
'After the skin is prepped it’s time to start the makeup using Armani Eye Quattro Eyeshadow. I filled in the brows with Armani Smooth Silk Eye Pencil in Sand Blonde. I finished the eye look off with Armani Eyes To Kill Mascara in Classic.
Next I applied Armani Luminous Silk Face And Under-Eye Concealer using 3.75 and 4.5 to give a more refreshed look. After concealer it was time for foundation using Armani Luminous Silk Foundation in 5.75.
I finished the look off using a natural lip liner like Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Original and a nude lip colour like Laura Mercier Nude Nouveau for a natural polished look.'
