Davide Sanclimentiswaggered into the 2022 Love Island villa on day one, every inch the Italian bombshell, and if the furore on Twitter is anything to go by, he's been setting pulses racing nationwide ever since. As Love Island's eighth season has worn on, as villa relationships have fired up and fizzled out, and re-couplings around the fire pit have come and gone, Davide has emerged as a surprising fan favourite. Surprising, because it seems to be the modus operandi of Love Island bombshells to wreak havoc and disrupt. You only have to hark back to the likes of Maura Higgins, Megan Barton-Hanson, and Alex Bowen to realise that - the Love Island producers have an agenda and they're sticking to it.
Usually the Love Island bombshell gets a bit of a rough ride in terms of audience appreciation, because, who likes seeing a happy couple torn apart? And though Luca Bish had only been coupled up with Gemma Owen for a matter of hours before Davide stole her away, the fishmonger from Brighton had already found enough favour with viewers to earn him some sympathy, and Davide a decent dose of shade.
Flash forward three weeks though, and Davide is seemingly back in the good books. After being discarded by Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu in favour of newbie islander Jay Younger, Davide's humility and wit have come to the fore and reeled in brownie points with fans and series 8 Love Islanders alike. Fellow bombshell Danica Taylor quickly made a beeline for him, and was captured complimenting his deep tan on camera mere days ago.
Was it his Mediterranean charm that won Danica over we wonder? His tan? Or maybe it was his scent, because it turns out he smells pretty great too. According to Love Island insiders, Davide has been making a play for Giorgio Armani's Code, £60 for 50ml during his stay in the villa. It's a fresh, citrus-laden perfume that's warmed up with hints of bergamot, amber and tonka bean. Intrigued?
