Victoria Beckham has long been the subject of our beauty desires. We rejoiced when she launched her own limited edition beauty range with Estée Lauder back in 2016: a capsule collection consisting of inky black eyeliners and satiny lipsticks. Alas, limited edition it was, and we were all left wanting more...
In came Victoria Beckham Beauty: her own permanent range of make-up and skincare, and a chance for the model and designer to capitalise on her beauty muse status forevermore. The poster girl for a lived-in smokey eye and undone hair, we finally had the chance to shop everything she used herself.
We had the tools, but not the technique. That was, though, until VB shared an Instagram video documenting one of the key players in creating her signature eye look; something that made her look 'instantly polished', and like she's had '8 hours sleep'. So fanatic she is about the technique, she calls it her 'number one beauty tip.' Curious? Watch on:

The product VB is waxing lyrical about is the Instant Brightening Waterline Pencil, £22. You know how after a late night and the eye area is looking particularly bloodshot and red? 'It takes any redness away,' says Victoria. 'I put it on the inside of my eye. It opens the eye, refreshes, and makes me look significantly better.'
Can a simple pearly pencil really be the key to looking more awake? It certainly helps. Adding a pop of brightness in the inner waterline makes the whites of the eye look brighter, the colour of your eye more prominent and helps to give the illusion of eyes that are more awake than they are.
And it goes without saying that Victoria makes a truly excellent kohl pencil (and as the queen of a sooty, smudged eyeliner, she'd have to). The texture of the pencil is buttery, and glides on to the eye with real ease (read: no dragging the delicate skin around the eye). They're easily blended, too.
For the days you need to fake 8 hours, or just want to pull a smokey eye together, you can shop Victoria's Instant Brightening Waterline Pencil, below. A hardworking little pencil, indeed.
