Forget nail art, these days it’s lip art that everyone is obsessing over.
You might remember that earlier this year we drew your attention to the work of the talented Miss Jazmina. She creates incredible intricate lip art designs such as illustrations of classic Disney scenes, abstract 3-D effects, and disco ball glitter lips.
If you thought that was impressive, well this takes it to a whole new level.
Blurring the lines between makeup and art, this mesmerizing look might be the weirdest beauty trend we’ve seen yet. Makeup artist Vlada Haggerty has taken inspiration from one of our favourite Japanese cuisines for her take on lip art. Yep, she transformed her mouth into a piece of sushi. A piece of salmon nigiri to be precise.
While we’re big fans of both food and beauty, this combination is a step too far.
However, it appears, the beauty gurus of Instagram don’t think so. Makeup artist Amanda Cadena has even gone and created a whole series dedicated to the subject of food lip art.
She even created a hot dog design.
Oh dear. This is one trend we’ll definitely be leaving to the Instagram pros.
