I’ve Tried Hundreds Of Concealers – REFY’s Is Already One Of My Favourites

When it comes to searching for the best concealer, we're looking for something that covers all bases. From coverage to hydration to colour correction, a great concealer is one that ticks every box.

Speaking of a concealer that does it all, REFY's Hydrating Brightening Concealer is the latest talk of the town. REFY already nails it when it comes to that 'clean girl' make-up look; cast your mind back to the viral Brow Sculpt and Brow Pencil, both of which created the perfect, highly sought-after, feathered brow. Naturally, a complexion product was the next step.

Available in 24 shades and complete with a range of neutral, cool and warm undertones, reviewers are, of course, already raving about the product. 'This concealer was super light weight and blurring with a very natural skin like finish' says one reviewer, while another called it 'the most hydrating concealer, doesn’t emphasise dry patches or sink into fine lines, long-wearing and is a great colour match for me!'

Of course, curiosity got the best of me, and I immediately knew I had to put it to the test. Keep reading for my honest review.

How did it apply?

Described as a 'serum-based' concealer, I was initially incredibly impressed with how it glided over the skin. After following instructions, I gave the concealer a shake to avoid any separation. I went for the shade 3 which is proved to be the perfect match for my skin tone; a fair shade with neutral tones suited me perfectly, but also I'm able to fluctuate between shades depending on my tan.

What did I think overall?

I applied the concealer using the doe foot applicator and blended with the new REFY complexion brush and it's safe to say, I think I've found a new favourite. My under eyes were instantly brightened, any imperfections were naturally blurred and my skin still looked and felt moisturised. I would describe this concealer as a medium, buildable coverage with a satin finish, which is great if you're after that 'no make-up, make-up look'. This serum based hybrid product is made with a range of nourishing ingredients to help the concealer sit comfortably on the skin for a super smooth finish.

Much like the Kosas Concealer, REFY's Concealer feels lightweight and creamy and looks like skin. My skin can usually be quite dry with a few blemishes, but this concealer really impressed me, instantly solving my skin concerns. This product lasted well on my skin throughout the day and set into place without the need to wear a powder, which is always a plus.
