Best new beauty brands

While there have been plenty of exciting new beauty launches this month, nothing quite captures our attention like a brand new buzz-worthy brand. From probiotic skincare to the future of foundation, these are the new beauty brands that deserve to be on your radar…

Cultured Biomecare

Introducing Cultured Biomecare: the brainchild of REN Skincare co-founder Rob Calcraft and the future of probiotic skincare. In a nutshell, Cultured Biomecare is formulated to support and work with your microbiome, activating the skin’s ability to protect, repair and renew itself. But if you're confused by probiotic skincare as a whole - consider this your 30-second refresher course…

Our skin is home to its own microbiome (much like that which is present in the gut). For optimum skin health, you want to keep this balance of 'good' and 'bad' bacteria in harmony. Too much bad bacteria and you're looking at increased inflammation, eczema and acne.

So the aim of probiotic skincare is to feed your skin with good bacteria, in order to help it improve its own immune response and keep ticking over at its optimum health. Clever, eh?

Which brings us back round to Cultured Biomecare. The simple-but-effective routine consists of just three products: a cleanser, a serum and a mask - each containing a carefully balanced blend of prebiotics, probiotics, ferments, and micro-algae extracts.

Jones Road Beauty

If you're a fan of hardworking, multi-use products that will stand the test of time - you'll love Jones Road Beauty. Founded by Bobbi Brown (yep, the Bobbi of Bobbi Brown Cosmetics - she left her namesake company back in 2016) Jones Road is her stripped-back, anything-but-basic new brand that's just launched here in the UK.

So what can you expect? Think hands-on, MUA formulas that melt into the skin and require nothing but your fingertips to use. We're obsessed with The Oil Stick, £24 a multi-purpose balm that can be used to add a natural sheen to skin - wherever and whenever required. The Face Pencil Everything Stick, £23 can be used to scribble coverage onto areas that need it most while Miracle Balm, £34 is a beautiful, warming soft-focus balm. Simply break the seal, warm up the formula and paint it onto the skin for an incredible no makeup makeup look.

There's also a treasure trove The Everything Box, £480 where you can buy the whole collection in one. Plus, we're dying for a Jones Road jumper.

DCYPHER

Sick of trying to find your perfect foundation shade only to be left disappointed, again? Get ready for DCYPHER - the future of foundation shade matching. This clever UK-based brand uses AI technology in order to create millions of different shade variations. Not only that, but you can custom your finish, texture and coverage preferences for a truly bespoke foundation. It's like having a foundation lab at your fingertips.

Simply snap a couple of makeup-free photos on DCYPHER's website (don't worry - no one ever sees them!) and answer a couple of questions and ta-da, the technology does all the rest for you. A few days later and you'll receive a sample in the post - which allows you to test the foundation's shade/coverage/finish before committing to your full-size formula. Any issues and they'll tweak it straight away. Genius.
