Lizzo just slayed on the 2020 Brit Awards red carpet in her Hershey's chocolate inspired ensemble. And we’re SO here for it. The Moschino hot chocolate gown by Jeremy Scott from an AW14 archive, the epic nails that looked dripped in chocolate and the velvety, rich smoky eye to top all smoky eyes, ever.
We were just a little (ok, a lot) excited to see that her make-up artist/genius, Alexx Mayo, took to Instagram to post the full break down of the products used to create the epic look. And you’ll be pleased to hear that every single one of them is available to buy now and won't break the bank.
Without further ado, here’s how to get Lizzo's look:
Base First: Get Lizzo's Flawless Skin
We all know prep is the key to locking your make-up in place all night long. Which is why Mayo began Lizzo’s look with Urban Decay’s B6 Vitamin-Infused Complexion Prep Priming spray, £26, before buffing in the All Nighter Face Primer, £26. Next up, he applied an even layer of the Urban Decay Naked Foundation, £31, all over (Lizzo's shade is 70WR) and spot concealed with the [Urban Decay Stay Naked Concealer, £23,](http://Urban Decay Stay Naked Concealer,) where needed to get that flawless finish.
Eye Candy: How To Do Lizzo's Smoky Eye
Over on the eyes, Mayo opted for a glossy smoked out shadow that complemented the silk chocolate gown to a T. Again, prep is key, so Mayo primed the eyes with Urban Decay’s legendary Primer Lotion, £19.50. Then he drew upon Urban Decay’s Naked Honey Palette, £43, using shades Sting (a rich brown) for the smoke and Keeper (a matte gold) for the centre to add dimension.
And whoever said lip gloss was just for lips is wrong, as Mayo applied a slick of the Urban Decay Hi Fi Shine Gloss in Star Stunner, £16, on top the smoke to give that delicious, glossy finish.
Lastly, he coated Lizzo’s lashes with his favourite mascara - the Urban Decay Perversion Waterproof Mascara, £21, before applying Ardell Beauty’s eyelashes in 701, £5.49, for added impact.
Lip Love: How To Get Lizzo's Glossy Lip
To pull the look together, Lizzo donned a deep chocolate brown lip that perfectly matched her dress colour. The bullet of choice? Urban Decay’s Vice Lipstick in Disturbed, £18, a deep purply brown with a creamy matte finish. To amp up the shine, Mayo finished with a slick of Urban Decay’s Vice Liquid Lipstick in Shadowheart, £16.50.
The final step? A good misting of the infamous Urban Decay All Night Makeup Setting Spray in Matte, £26, to make sure Lizzo’s look would not budge.
Hot Tips: How To Do Chocolate Nails
