Liberty London’s beauty advent calendar has such a strong cult following it’s become mythical. It’s the standard bearer for which we judge all other advent calendars. Chocolate no longer cuts it. Worth over £600, it’s filled with Le Labo and Hourglass products. If the £195 price tag is out-of-reach, then let us introduce you to the London department store’s latest festive treat, Liberty beauty crackers, which launch in the first week of November.
Priced between £12 and £38 they are comparatively a snip next to the advent calendar. There are three crackers in the series, all of which are crafted out of stiff card printed with the store’s beloved graphics.

Price: £150Launches: October 1stWhat's inside? A brilliant edit of make-up, skin and haircare, including classics like Philip Kingsley's Elasticiser and new heroes like Sunday Riley's Luna Night Oil.
The ‘Lee Manor’ cracker includes an Hourglass lip gloss and Essie nail varnish. While the ‘Peacock Parade’ contains an Omorovicza cream cleanser and Susanne Kaufmann bath oil and the ‘Buchanan’, which is the sot expensive at £38, contains an Escentric Molecules fragrance.
Undoubtedly, these Christmas crackers are a step-up from the usual joke and paper-hat stuffed ones we're accustomed to. However, they aren’t the only beauty crackers on the market. Jo Malone has their own limited edition Cracker, which contains a cologne, hand wash and body cream (£32). As does Yves Saint Laurent, which is more make up-focused contains a miniature red lipstick, perfume, mascara and defoliator (£23.75). Likewise, Nuxe (£10), Caudalie (£10), Too Faced (£14) and Margaret Dabbs (£12) have made crackers this year
