I’m a tinted moisturiser convert. Consider me well and truly seduced by the minimalist make-up wave. For me, nothing transformed my complexion like pressing pause on heavy duty foundations. Now, I make a play for skin tints and tinted moisturisers - the kind that enhance my complexion rather than mask it, evening out tone and texture while flooding my skin with a myriad of beautifying ingredients. I want light and illuminating, silky and soothing. Not all though, are made equal. While I’ve found a few favourites of late - Clarins newest skin tint, for one, is amazing - I’ve also been putting renowned make-up artist Bobbi Brown's new baby to the test. Enter the Jones Road Just Enough Tinted Moisturiser which - I’m calling it - is the 'it' base of the summer season. And yes, it’s got that elusive ‘your-skin-but-better’ finish sussed.
What does the Jones Road Just Enough Tinted Moisturiser do?
Here's what the brand say: ‘Just Enough is a lightweight tinted moisturiser that conceals redness and evens out skin tone with light coverage, it improves hydration and protects skin's moisture barrier from water loss. It's the quickest way to feel put together without looking like you've done anything.' If you're after the your-skin-but-better look, look no further than the Jones Road Just Enough Tinted Moisturiser - it does what it says on the tin.

How does the Just Enough Tinted Moisturiser differ from What The Foundation?
Jones Road What The Foundation is beloved among the brand's legion of devotees, so how does this new base differ? It's much lighter. The moisture levels are lighter and the coverage is lower. Where the similarities lie is in their ability to cover redness and even out skin tone. Plus, both are made to suit all skin types.
Our verdict
Rachael Martin, beauty editor:
‘If you’re after a full glam foundation then this one isn’t for you. If your MO is a subtle glow with a hint of natural coverage, however? Then there’s every chance you’ve met your new go-to. Firstly, texture. The formula feels sheer and soft on my skin. It’s creamy, but not greasy and I’d liken it to a light lotion over a slippery or oily feeling serum-style tint. After applying a small amount to the back of my hand I take a densely packed stippling brush to press it into my skin. This way, there’s slightly more coverage than if I apply using my fingers, which I often do with tinted moisturisers. The finish sits somewhere between matte and luminous, and, as an oily skinned gal, this is my sweet spot. It’s comfortable, too. My skin feels hydrated and soothed (there's moisturising sodium hyaluronate to thank for that) while the underlying redness around my cheeks and chin is definitely less noticeable. If you’re someone who has pigmentation, dark circles or blemishes, I would suggest teaming with a concealer for a touch more coverage. A light dusting of setting powder adds staying power, too. Trust me - it's a combination that screams ‘eight hours sleep, pilates and a green smoothie,’- even when that’s far from the reality.’

Bobbi Brown On Her Latest Jones Road Launch
Grazia had the distinct pleasure of sitting down with the legendary Bobbi Brown to discuss her latest Jones Road launch. 'I would describe it as silky,' she says, 'and there's a little dry-down to it, so some people will be happy wearing it as is, but someone my age - I'm older and drier - might want to add a moisturiser on top of it.' On top of it? 'Yeah, a little moisturiser or Jones Road Miracle Balm on top - that combination, in fact, is incredible. So many people are surprised when I suggest adding skincare on top, we've been taught to only ever do the opposite, but when you're looking to up the glow of your base, it's a great trick of the trade. Not too much though, some people go overboard and you can end up looking greasy.'
There's been a huge move towards skin tints and tinted moisturisers over full coverage foundations in the past few years, and Brown has clearly reacted - what does she make of the make-up market's sudden pivot? 'Firstly, skincare is huge, so much bigger than it was before and people know a lot more.' It stands to reason that if you're forking out for next-level skincare and seeing results, you're not going to want to cover it up with a heavy base - you want to flaunt that stuff. 'People's lifestyles are better too, there's less smoking, better eating and people are spending money on treatments like laser - glowing is the ultimate mission and make-up has to play its part too.'
Final thoughts
This tinted moisturiser, truly is, enough. It provides enough coverage for me to feel polished, it ensures enough hydration to allow me to skip my moisturiser (sometimes), and guarantees enough radiance to make me look and (ultimately) feel healthy. While it's not cheap, I'd say it's worth it. A little goes along way to improve skin tone and texture and my make-up really does look better, while (crucially) still looking like skin. Another Jones Road product set to go viral? I wouldn't be surprised..
