Scroll through TikTok right now and you’re likely to see Lady Gaga's Haus Labs foundation pop up in at least one make-up tutorial, if not several. It’s everywhere right now. I'm not usually one to immediately leap on the bandwagon when it comes to viral beauty buys, whether it's one of the industry's myriad celebrity beauty brands or not, but after seeing so many people wax lyrical about it (Molly-Mae said this Haus Labs foundation is so good she's stuck with it for longer than any other base she has tried) I had to see if this was worthy of adding to our best foundations list.
Firstly, the packaging itself had me at hello. It comes in a sleek frosted glass bottle that feels gratifyingly premium. The shade range is extensive too, with a focus on undertones as well as depth. There’s an online shade finder that's easy to use and doesn’t just lump everyone into a ‘light, medium, deep’ system. I ended up matched to shade 480, but this was sold out (always a risk with viral products), so I picked up 500 and mixed it with my Danessa Myricks Blurring Balm. Worked like a charm.

The formula is on the thinner side, almost serum-like but don’t be fooled, as it builds to a solid medium coverage while still feeling lightweight and breathable. It gives skin a healthy, slightly luminous finish without looking greasy. It’s packed with skincare-grade ingredients too: fermented arnica to calm inflammation, hyaluronic acid for hydration, squalane to support the skin barrier and a mix of plant extracts. It’s clean, cruelty-free, vegan, and feels like a second skin.

After a night of clubbing and 13 hours of wear.
Lady Gaga has been known to say that you can sleep in the stuff because 70% of the formula is skincare. And while I wouldn’t recommend testing that out intentionally, I accidentally did after a long night out – the ultimate make-up sin, I am well aware. Weirdly, my skin didn’t punish me the next day. No breakouts, no tightness - just skin that still felt surprisingly calm given the circumstances. I’ve also been using it with the Haus Labs concealer and together they give this seamless, natural base that holds up all day without creasing too much.
So, is it worth the hype? Honestly, yes. This might be the first celebrity brand foundation I’ve tried that lives up to the noise. Now I just need my shade 480 to be restocked. Make it happen, Haus Labs.
