Charlotte Tilbury is well known for her ability to make skin really glow. From the iconic Magic Cream to her viral foundation stick, it’s fair to say the masses go wild for her radiance giving products - Kate Moss and Jourdan Dunn are both fans. Unsurprisingly, TikTok is going wild for the Charlotte Tilbury Black Friday deals. And one product in particular has seen a huge rise in search - 450% on Google, to be exact. Enter the Charlotte Tilbury Beauty Light Wands, which have a cult following and are heavily discounted in the Black Friday sales. But are they worth the hype? Here’s our full review.

What do the Charlotte Tilbury Beauty Light Wands do?

In short? They’ll add glow - and lots of it. Designed as a highlighter-meets-blush, each little tube works to enhance and brighten even the most tired of complexions - there’s a reason Tilbury herself has dubbed it the 'Hollywood secret to a soft-focus glow'. Just a small amount works to add luminosity in a range of shades suited to all skin tones - there’s everything from rose-bud pinks through to iridescent golds.

A mega-watt glow? Consider me sold.

Pros

  • Available in several shades (I love Pillow Talk and Pinkgasm)
  • A small amount of product goes a long way
  • Doesn't disrupt make-up underneath

Cons

  • Doesn't travel well - ensure to pop in a plastic bag as leaking is highly likely! Boo!

How to use the Charlotte Tilbury Beauty Light Wands

I’m not a make-up artist, by any stretch, but the beauty light wands are refreshingly easy to use. Simply twist the lid and squeeze a few little dots onto the high points of the cheeks then blend out with finger tips or a beauty blender. Less is more initially, but it can be built up easily.

Our review

Rachael Martin beauty editor:

'If you worship at the altar of a mega-watt glow then I guarantee you won't be disappointed. I like to mix and match my shades for the most flattering hue. I'll start with the internet famous "Pinkgasm" and dot it into the apples of my cheeks before blending out and upwards with a wet sponge - I feel this adds warmth and dimension to my complexion from the get-go. Then I'll follow with the iconic “Pillow Talk” - think a warm, pearlescent hue with the tiniest hint of pink. When combined, I'll have skin that softly shimmers when the light catches - without straying into the realm of glitter. A sticky, thick texture is not for me, and I'm thrilled to say this one is far from it. It's light, creamy, and feels undetectable on the skin. It's also light enough to apply atop your foundation with no disruption. My only gripe is that these do not travel well. I've got through many of these, and when combined with high altitude it's not unreasonable to expect a bit of a mess - to say the least. I like to remove the sponge top and decant into a travel sized pot to remedy this. A bit of a faff, yes, but worth it for excellent make-up.'

Final Verdict

'Are the Charlotte Tilbury Beauty Light Wands worth it? It's a resounding yes from me. Ideal for elevating a no make-up day, or upping the ante a the full glam look, these little wands are just about as magic as they come.'
