Cara Delevingne has joined Rimmel London as a brand ambassador, following in the footsteps of her friend and mentor Kate Moss.
The new partnership between the model turned actress and the high street beauty favourite will see Cara starring in several campaigns for Rimmel over the coming months. The 23-year-old joins her friends Kate Moss and Georgia May Jagger as part of the make-up brand's Brit model squad.
'I'm honoured to be working with Rimmel London. It's the first make-up brand I was introduced to as a teenager. I'm a London girl through and through and Rimmel London truly captures and represents the city's edgy, cosmopolitan beauty styles,' Cara said in a statement.
Speaking to WWD, the model added: 'It was a natural partnership [...] I am proud to be English and jumped at the opportunity to collaborate with such an iconic English brand.'
Johanna Bussinelli, Chief Marketing Officer of Colour Cosmetics at Coty, said: 'Cara is globally admired for her individuality and self-expression. She will be a powerful addition to the brand, inspiring a new generation of women and showcasing a different facet of the eclectic London look.'
The brand will celebrate the new partnership with Cara in an appropriately milennial style - via its first ever Snapchat press conference. Using the hashtag #RimmelxCara, fans will be able to pose questions to the model, who will then answer them live on Snapchat.
Despite previous stories implying that she was ready to quit modelling for acting, Cara was recently revealed as the new face of Saint Laurent and took to Twitter to 'set the record straight' about her previous comments. Frankly discussing her struggle with depression, she explained that '[she] was a model during a particularly rough patch of self-hatred.'
