You don't need a Netflix account to know about Squid Game, the latest Korean drama to take streaming – and, as it happens, the world – by storm. It fast became the most watched Netflix series ever (that's 111 million viewers globally, BTW) knocking the beloved Bridgerton off of the top spot.

The show follows hundreds of in-debt Koreans, who compete in a series of deadly children's games. Losers get killed, and the last person standing wins a large cash prize. And, as anticipated, it's devastatingly morbid. Totally grisly, mildly terrifying and psychologically disturbing. Everything one could want for Halloween, non?

As well as thorough entertainment, the show has served make-up and costume inspiration aplenty. Yes, with plenty of recognisable imagery, such as the security guards' shapes, there's plenty of gruesome Halloween fodder.

TikTokers have already jumped on the Squid Game make-up train, and are serving up some seriously creative looks. Here are some of the best so you and your Gganbus can get practicing.

We love these bloody Squid Game symbols. Unsteady hand? Don't use the flimsy end of a liquid liner. Try a red lipliner instead. Sharpen it for extra precision, so your lines can be clean and crisp. A red liquid liner or fake blood will take the look to new heights.

Cover yourself in blood and say you lost a game. You don't need to use wax or liquid latex like this clever TikToker has; you can create the illusion of bullet holes by blending purple, brown and red shades. Add the Squid Game card and you're good to go.

Less creepy, more glam. Perfect for the gore adverse (or those reluctant to dress up). There's less chance you'll have to do a quick dash to your local shop for additional make-up too, as you might find most (or all!) of these products in your make-up bag already. Win, win.

It was only inevitable that the creepy doll from Game 1 made an appearance. This look takes serious time; serious patience; as well as a seriously steady hand. One of the most effective doll looks we've found, this doll has got it down right from the cutesy hair to the sparse brows. Bravo.

Feeling ambitious? This look is one to try your hand at. They key here is the dimension on the face. The creator has used grid-like lines and filled them with shades of black, grey and white to create a realistic illusion of a face mask. The easiest part of the look? The black jumper, obvs.

The detail on this look is nothing short of impeccable. Small, fine-tipped brushes are your friends here, to allow for ample detailing and expert precision.

Squid Game's security guards have become synonymous with the show. Thankfully, their outfits and make-up are some of the easiest to pull together. Black face paint, your chosen shape, and a red jumper? Squid Game supremacy.

You don't need a degree in SFX make-up for this one. Wear the colours of the Squid Game contestants (a surprisingly chic pine green), and use it across the eye. Give yourself a number and consider yourself completely Squid Gamed.
