It's official: Adele is back. Ok, we know that she never really left, but after releasing a snippet of her new single and the release of her two Vogue covers, it has to be said that Adele season is officially in session. And boy, we. are. excited.

As we anticipate her next single, Easy on Me, we're feeling all nostalgic and taking a look back at the star's most notable moments. Her album, 25, has, for many, been the soundtrack to WFH days, we've obsessed over her Instagram album teasers - her impromptu livestream at the weekend was an event - and we've gawked over her best performances on YouTube too many times to count.

It was arguably with the release of Adele's single Hello the masses started paying attention to Adele's make-up prowess as well. The eyeliner! The hair! The contour! Suddenly Adele was a show-stopping singer AND the poster girl for perfect eyeliner.

We weren't the only ones to take note, either. A quick Google of 'Adele's Hello make-up tutorial' releases an onslaught of articles and YouTube videos all offering readers and viewers various means of copying Adele's iconic Hello make-up look at home.

Needless to say we've stayed tuned - hasn't everyone? - and it has to be said Adele has, if inadvertently, managed to teach us a lot of beauty lessons over the years, from how to pull off that loaded liner look to exactly how much body to work into those hair roots for a classy, yet in-your-face level of volume.

We can't see what make-up she has in store for us in her next chapter, but here's what we've learned so far:

...especially when paired with a black dress. Adele's look at the 2012 Grammy's is one that'll go down in the history books. Her warm, honeyed blonde hair, XL lashes and scarlet red lip is completely timeless.

'I used to cry, but now I sweat', said Adele, in a now iconic Instagram caption. We're paying attention to her eyeshadow, though (and not just her signature eyeliner). Adele (or, her make-up artist), has placed a warm neutral shade strategically throughout the crease of her eye. The overall effect is impeccably chic and sets off her graphic eyeliner to a tee.

Adele knows that a good quality sheet mask is a steadfast way to flood your skin with moisture and deliver an enviable glow in minutes. It also makes for a cracking selfie moment as Adele proves here. We like 111Skin's Y Theorem Bio Cellulose Mask, £16. It's one thing to put moisture into the skin, but it's another thing to keep it there. This mask does a stellar job at restoring and retaining hydration, as well as visibly brightening skin.

We've always been envious of those who can pull off both long and short hair (Adele is a glowing example). Her razor-sharp just-lower-than-jaw-length bob caused a sensation when the star debuted it in 2016 and she single handedly proved that the classic cut would never go out of style.

Choosing between dramatic eyes or lips? Erm, stop. Adele's look at the 2016 Brit Awards tells us to rip up the rulebook and go bold on both parts. Here Adele's deep red lip pairs beautifully with her champagne shade of sparkling eyeshadow.

If you've ever sat there listening to Adele on shuffle mid commute it's likely the star has opened your eyes to the need for a decent waterproof mascara.
