TikTok has a lot to offer in the way of beauty hacks. From Meredith Duxbury's 10 pump selfie ready make-up routine to the triangle concealer hack that blurs away dark circles, TikTok delivers it all. This month's newest trend involves lash glue and fringes. No, really.

Taking to TikTok, creator, @ravioli_nicoli told her followers she was sick of her fringe blowing the wind. Her solution? Sticking the very ends of it to her eyebrows with lash glue. And believe it or not, lash glue and hair isn't the newest combination on the beauty block. A-lister hair stylists have been using lash glue for years to stick accents like Swarovski crystals to their clients' hair - remember Alicia Keys's glistening hair look at 2021's Met Gala?

The game-changing video has nearly 4 million views on TikTok and counting, as well as 350K likes. So is this hack off the wall or worth a try? We got the experts' take.

Watch: The Viral Fringe Hack

Jerome Russell Brand Educator, and celebrity hairstylist, Jason Collier believes this hack is genius. 'We all love a fringe. Wispy, full and blunt, or curtain; they add great dimension to a hairstyle and accentuate features in certain face shapes. The only downside? The wind. After styling your fringe for ages the last thing you want to compete with is windswept hair that blows your gorgeous tresses out of shape and style.'

He also went onto say, clear lash glue is the best option for this hack as it won't leave any colour pigment on brows or skin and to ensure that you only use a small amount of glue to where you need it. 'Pressing too hard can lead to a more exhaustive removal which can weaken hair strands and cause breakage. After you're done for the day with this hack you want to make sure you remove all traces of glue from your hair as it can harden and create build-up that will be extremely difficult to get rid of in your next hair wash.' Arm yourself with a gentle micellar water and make sure to thoroughly remove at the end of the day.

That said, if you have sensitive skin this hack is one you may wish to sty clear of. Skincare formulator, and founder of Skin Masterclass, Cigdem Kemal Yilmaz advises that over exposure to the glue is not recommended. She adds, 'eyelash glue can irritate the skin if sensitive to ingredients, sensitivity can lead to skin irritation, redness, and swelling. Users should apply to the lash line only and always check the ingredients.'
