Sadie Sink has made quite a name for herself in recent years. From her memorable portrayal of Max in Stranger Things, to her heart-wrenching performance as Ellie in the Oscar winning film The Whale, it’s fair to say that the star has reached dizzying career heights. All that before we get started on her emotive role in Taylor Swift’s All To Well music video - Swifties were left fawning over the actress, opening her up to an extensive new fan base.
As well as her impressive acting credentials, it’s fair to say that her auburn hair has amassed an undeniably impressive legion of devotees all on its own. Her unique hair colour has been much requested at salon appointments – it’s the perfect blend of copper meets golden. As for styling? She’s become synonymous with high-shine volume and feminine finishes. Sadie is all about soft waves and glittering adornments.
Imagine our shock, then, when pictures of the star emerged sporting a very different hair style indeed. Gone were her signature curls in favour of something entirely different. And it turned out to be an incredibly divisive move among fans.

Revealed: Sadie Sink’s Mullet Haircut
Rumoured to be in preparation for a new film role, hairdresser Tommy Buckett revealed himself as the man responsible for Sadie’s latest look. Staring to the camera, the star’s hair was cut into a choppy mullet which nodded to the wolf-cut trend. Gone were her signature romantic waves and in its place something unarguably rougher and more undone - it's a ‘70s style haircut that takes inspiration from rock stars like David Bowie. Texture (and lots of it) appeared to be the brief.
The look proved to be hair marmite however, with swathes of fans rushing to make their opinions known. Comments ranged from the supportive (🔥🔥🔥 so good) the disapproving (why u did it to her 😭😭) and the downright amusing (Steve Harrington ??😂❤️)
It’s safe to say that jury is most definitely out on Sadie’s latest look.
