As it's only day three of London Fashion Week and we still have Paris and Milan shows to go, I'm hesitant to call out any trends. And, yet, I'm pretty sure this one is going to catch on. At New York Fashion Week, and in London right now, models are sporting pink hair.

Since we've lived through the days of dip-dyed hair and Bleach home-kits, this isn't too shocking. Instead, it's quite pretty and delicate. More pastel than Manic Panic and more whimsical than the coldness of Millennial Pink.

Backstage, more and more make-up artists are focusing on a skin-first technique, like Suqqu who gave models at ALEXACHUNG a facial before dabbing on cream highlighter. With the make-up paired back, a vivid, bolder hair colour sits easier.

The long-time advocate for blush hair, Fernanda Ly trailblazed in NY with a rose shade. At Marc Jacobs's spring summer 2019 show Josh Wood dyed 37 models hair, including a handful a soft shade of cerise. Reportedly, he first bleached each model's hair then using a shadow root technique to create depth add a metallic base (in purple, titanium, or platinum) before creating an 'anti-unicorn' pastel. Not loud or overtly bold, but a subtle peach.

Across the Atlantic in London, Adwoa Aboh and Dree Hemmingway have been treading the runways with dusty pink buzzcuts. The striking shortness versus the frankly feminine shade creates a compelling cause for copying. Booking an appointment STAT.
