With fashion week season now drawn to a close, the time is ripe to reminisce on all the inspiration - both beauty and sartorial - that we've hit the catwalks during the last month. Not once have we been short of things to marvel over, from Bella Hadid's bleached blows to Dolce & Gabbana's sheer glitter veil dresses. As if by way of a final hurrah though, Gigi Hadid may well have saved the best for last. She chose last week's Burberry show to debut her most dramatic hair transformation yet.

We have seen Gigi flirt with a rich auburn hair shade, mermaid blue and dark brown in the past, and that's not to mention her signature honeyed blonde lengths, but her latest revamp seriously ups the ante.

Nylon have dubbed Gigi's brand new hair colour 'alien blonde', a nod to its out-of-this-world lustre. A pale blonde that boasts too many yellow tones to be called platinum, this is the lightest we've seen Gigi dye her hair. The new look arrives not long after both she and her sister, Bella, looked to have bleached their brows bright blonde for the Versace show. While Bella has reverted to her previously natural-look brows, Gigi has stuck withe bleached look and it's certainly in keeping with her hair makeover.

If you're tempted to make like Gigi and try out this new icy 'alien blonde' hue, know that you're signing up for a lot of at-home maintenance.Purple shampoo at the ready, people. Shop the best of the bunch below:

Olaplex1 of 4

Olaplex No.4p Blonde Enhancer Toning Shampoo, £26

If you're A) blonde, and b) a fan of Olaplex's No.4 Shampoo, you'll love this. The brand's first foray into purple shampoo is a good one indeed, combining purple toner with their signature repairing blend. What other shampoos can say that they tint and fortify simultaneously?

Amika Bust Your Brass Shampoo2 of 4

Amika Bust Your Brass Cool Blonde Repair Shampoo, £18

Once a stateside secret, Brits have fallen hard for Amika's range (Bust Your Brass is especially popular). The Bust Your Brass Shampoo is favoured by those with textured hair, for the way it's enriched with three rich plant butters and amino acids. They work in tandem to strengthen and hydrate whilst colouring.

L'Oreal Professionnel Blondifier Cool Shampoo3 of 4

L'Oreal Professionnel Blondifier Cool Shampoo, £13.40

This one leaves hair feeling squeaky clean (but, we emphasise, not stripped of moisture). The violet pigments in the formula not only diminish any yellow tones, but hair looks considerably brighter after use.

Fudge Professional Clean Blonde Shampoo4 of 4

Fudge Professional Clean Blonde Shampoo, £14

This purple shampoo is a serious workhorse; expect serious shine and considerable colour correction from this salon-favoured brand. It gives a shot of icy blonde and makes quick work of neutralising brassy tones after just one wash.
