Emilia Clarke is well known for her prowess in the beauty arena – her hair, in particular, has been pinned, saved and liked the world over. Over the past few years alone, we’ve seen her sport an array of different styles, from a choppy pixie-crop through to a wispy fringe. If you’re after hair inspo? Well, it’s highly likely that Clarke can provide it.

While the Game Of Thrones star is never afraid to mix things up in the hair cut department, she has shown her commitment where hair colour is concerned– she rarely deviates from her rich, shine-laden brunette. So, imagine the delight of fans when she stepped out at Silverstone this weekend in celebration of the British Grand Prix. Gone was the dark hair in favour of something softer and altogether blonder.

While we'll admit it's not quite Khaleesi levels of peroxide, there's no denying that the actress is embracing a lighter, more sun-kissed tone this summer - her new look is a glossy blend of warm honeys and caramels. The talent behind the colour? Celebrity hairdresser Nicola Clarke who counts Kate Winslet, Madonna and Helen Mirren as clients.

Speaking exclusively to Grazia Clarke said, 'With Emilia we created subtle, balayage style highlights - almost as if the sun has just kissed the hair. This time she asked if we could go a lot blonder but without the worry of visible roots growing out. To achieve this, I amped up the lightness and tipped the ends with much more blonde. This made the overall look brighter without the huge commitment of keeping up to regrowth.'

Taking to Instagram, the hairstylist posted a reel of Emilia, attracting slews of comments from fans keen to lend their seal of approval. ' I love the hair colour 😍' wrote one, while another simply typed, ‘🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥'

Considering a taking the plunge with a new, sun-kissed hue like Clarke? With hair that luminous, know you're one of many.
