While everyone might be going crazy over Cara Delevingne’s gothic makeover the Suicide Squad in full Enchantress mode, she’s undergone a major transformation IRL with a new shorter ‘do.
At first, the supermodel-turned-actress teased her 31 million Instagram followers with a picture of a mop of blonde hair on the floor, simply captioned with a haircut emoji.
‘WHAT??!!’ Many fans reacted. And so the hair conspiracy theories unfolded...
How much has she really cut off? Are we talking Audrey Hepburn-style pixie cut? Or Victoria Beckham 2006 and 2016 lob?
Turns out, it was the latter, as just hours later she debuted her daring bob hairstyle at the San Diego Comic Con convention - waving goodbye to her statement long, golden locks (and blue, if you count Glastonbury) in favour of a trendy, tousled 'do.
The 23-year-old Brit’s brave new look was created by celebrity hairstylist, Mara Roszak, who also tames Emma Stone, Brie Larson and Nicole Richie’s tresses.
‘It's not necessarily about having the cut of the moment,’ Mara tells Harper’s Bazaar. ‘It's very specific to the person, how they dress, how much time they have to spend in the morning, and giving them something that really works with their hair type. It's less about the shape concept and more about the texture.’
No doubt Cara’s new mane will be easier to manage now. And perhaps she called on her model mate Kendall Jenner, who recently opted for a cool shoulder length haircut herself.
