Consider it a 'Violet Beauregarde' chic

Who doesn't love a celeb hair transformation? Not least when it's Beyoncé's. The singer took to Instagram to reveal that her long, tousled honeyed blonde is no longer. That's right: Beyoncé has gone short, and naturally, she looks amazing.

The images were part of her Ivy Park x Adidas campaign. Consider the look an entire reinvention: alongside the hair transformation, she opted for a jet black graphic liner sitting in the crease of her eye. Ripping up the rulebook, she paired a strong lip with the strong eye: a scarlet red gloss to pull the look together, matching her red latex ensemble.

It's the hair that catches the eye most, though. Queen B has chopped off inches and opted for a jaw-skimming bob, complete with a blunt full fringe. The colour is still the same - honeyed, golden, and, frankly, expensive - but the cut is a complete style evolution. Case in point:

It's giving us Violet Beauregarde vibes (in the best way possible). The power lies in the blunt edges: take away the fringe and add a couple of centimetres, and it's giving us Shiv Roy from Succession vibes. Consider this cut the hair equivalent of a power suit.

Real hair or wig, it's hard to tell. Either way, there's one comment in the sea of thousands that captures the mood: 'she's giving CEO of the company.' Yup, she sure is.
