If ever since last Friday's presidential inauguration, you've been wondering what Melania Trump placed in that blue Tiffany's box, what Donald was muttering under his breath before taking to the stage, or what Michelle Obama and George W. Bush were smirking at, we finally have some answers for you. Well, sort of.

Based on the premise that laughter is the best medicine to the impending apocalypse, the parody geniuses behind the Bad Lip Reading Youtube channel have decided to solve all of these mysteries and more in what might be their funniest viral video to date.

'Surprise! I have some pretzels for you!' Melania 'announces' as she presents out-going First Lady Michelle Obama with the huge turquoise box (as Donald remarks offhand 'I shoulda worn my shoulder pads').

After that, things become rather less amicable, with Barack Obama and Donald Trump trading passive agressive insults - including a grinning Obama muttering 'you suck!' under his breath (side note: we really hope that Barack actually did this, but given that he's entirely charming, we doubt it).

Rather more believable is the scene where Trump shakes hands with officials as he enters the building, greeting them with messages like 'I'm important' and 'You wanna be me, dontcha?' - then grimacing 'Help.... Help!' as he gears up to be sworn in. Donald, we're all thinking the same thing.

We won't spoil the rest for you, but there are also some glorious cameos from a poorly dubbed Hillary Clinton and George W. Bush, and a moment when the master of ceremonies asks Trump to 'raise [his] shrunken hand and repeat after me' before giving the presidential oath. If you didn't laugh, you'd cry...
