It's finally happening. Titanic - the tear-jerking '90s juggernaught that left you heartbroken with an unshakeable and unrequited crush on Leonardo DiCaprio and an irrational fear of P&O cruises - will be available to stream on Netflix UK from June 1st.

Yes, you'll be able to watch Jack Dawson and Rose DeWitt Bukater's doomed love story unfold, from its happy beginnings to its icy, icy end, soundtracked by Celine Dion at her peak, all from the comfort of your laptop. Goodbye, social life, it was nice knowing you.

While the streaming service is already home to its fair share of Leo movies (you can watch Boo Boo in his Hawaiian print shirt in Romeo + Juliet, see him as a long-haired musketeer in The Man In The Iron Mask or try Leo as troubled entrepreneur Howard Hughes in The Aviator), we've long felt the pain of Titanic's absence, so this news makes us feel like recreating this scene...

And maybe even this one...

And for those of us who are still heavily traumatised by that ending, the joy of Netflix is that we can simply switch off about two hours into the film (a perfectly respectable length for a romantic drama) happy in our denial of what is to come. Sorted.

If anyone asks, we'll be in the corner looking at gifs of Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet being cute. Did anyone say 'friendship goals?'

What else is coming to Netflix in June?

Titanic isn't the only new arrival to Netflix that will have you shunning sunlight and a social life in favour of a darkened room and your laptop screen. Here are some of the most anticipated additions to the streaming service that will arrive in June...

Orange Is The New Black Season Four

Cancel your plans for Friday 17th June, the date when everyone's favourite inmates return to our screens.

Guardians Of The Galaxy

If you think that sci-fi films can be far too po-faced, Guardians Of The Galaxy, which stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana and Bradley Cooper (as a raccoon), will change your mind. It's available from 20th June.

The Fundamentals Of Caring

This Netflix exclusive stars Paul Rudd, Selena Gomez and Submarine's Craig Roberts, and arrives on June 24th.

Happy Valley Season One

If you missed the first season of the gripping BBC drama when it aired in 2014, now's your chance to catch up. Sarah Lancashire stars as the police sergeant hutning down violent criminal James Norton.
