Forget about a round of Aperol Spritz or a pitcher of Pimms, the original summer drink of choice is found in a bottle of rosé.
This summer the the Instagrammable wine is having a well-deserved resurgance with sales of the pale pink stuff soaring. And what better way to celebrate than a festival dedicated entirely to the pink wine?
Next weekend will see the launch of the inaugural Rosé Festival: the UK’s first, and only festival dedicated to rosé wine.
Taking place against the picturesque backdrop of The Geffrye Museum in Hoxton, London, the event will welcome over 3,000 visitors to share in a celebration of food, entertainment and an abundance of rosé wine.
The festival will offer visitors the chance to sample thirty different varieties of the wine from expert producers who will be on hand to share their knowledge around the techniques used to produce the unique characteristics of rosé.
Alongside the extensive rosé selection there will be street food to soak up some of that wine and a programme of entertainment including Shakespeare
recitals, operatic performances, jazz bands and DJ sets.
