Natalie Portman was destined to be the talk of Cannes when it was revealed that she was making her directoral debut at the festival. We knew she would wear perfect Dior and be the subject of Oscar rumours. What we didn't expect was the news that she is the latest actress to play Jackie Kennedy.
Variety reports that Natalie will play Jackie O in a film called 'Jackie' directed by Darren Aronofsky. The man that directed Natalie in Black Swan - the role that gave her an Oscar. This will show Jackie in the four days after the assassination of President Kennedy.
You can't say the words Jackie Kennedy without thinking about her wardrobe. This biopic may focus on the four days after the death of her husband, but her wardrobe played an important role as-ever in these days.

On her journey back to Washington from Texas she didn't change out of the pink Chanel suit covered in her husband's blood. She said she didn't clean up to “let them see what they’ve done.” The suit - still stained - is stored away in the National Archives outside of Washington along with her stockings, navy shoes and navy blouse. Cathy Horan reported in a piece on the significance of the suitthat it is under strict instructions by the Kennedy family to not be displayed.
