Many of us use Instagram – the social media app that enables us to share visual aspects of our lives with our nearest and dearest... and the wider world at large. Posts commonly include what we're wearing, what we ate for breakfast, where we were last week, current moods and people we love – contributions uploaded at random, the result of a small little piece of inspiration.

But for some Instagram users, this isn't the case. Some Instagram users creative whole narratives, uploading pictures that tell stories – stories which push boundaries, challenge gender stereotypes and grow businesses.

And some of the most powerful of which are created by women.

This month, Instagram are honouring a selection of these storytellers, revealing their tales via a pop-up exhibition in Central London, entitled: #MyStoryUK.

Through it, we meet Iskra Lawrence, the model promoting body positivity...

And Viviana Gomez-Morales, the gender stereotype challenger who's part of the capital's female skateboarding scene...

And Beckie Jane Brown, who lives with Trichotillomania...

The stories of these and 21 other inspirational women are exhibited in Unit London, 147-149 Wardour Street, W1F from tomorrow (9th June) until Friday 10th.

Make sure you make it down to see it, so you too can tell the tales of these creative and talented women.
