A Nutella café. Nordic hideaways in East London. This festive season has seen its fair share of themed pop-ups. But a restaurant to open next summer will be taking al fresco dining to new heights…quite literally.

In 2017 a venue will be competing with the likes of the London Eye and the Shard for scenic viewing experience - suspending its guests 100 feet in the air by a mobile crane. Not for the faint hearted, we have to admit.

Now in its third year, London in the Sky will take place around Chelsea Embankment from the 19th to 30th July, in the Rootstein Hopkins Parade Ground. In case you were wondering too, yes, guests are securely fastened into their seats before the table is raised and the gourmet experience can begin.

But for those who have an incurable fear of heights, the food served over the 12 day pop-up event in the capital may just sway you.

Top chefs including; Michael Reid, Jeremy Page and Calum Franklinm, will be preparing and serving food in front of diners - with 9 sittings per day, guests have the choice of breakfast, lunch, dinner, and drinks in the afternoon and evening.

Tickets are selling out fast though, so bag your tickets here now while you still can.

In addition to London, events will be hosted in Glasgow, Newcastle, Bristol and Southampton during the summer of 2017
