Today we are calling upon the universe (slash MTV) to bring back *My Super Sweet 16 *for a Lily-Rose Depp special. Yesterday the daughter of Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis celebrated turning 16 in Hollywood.
Judging by Instagram she didn't arrive on a Swarovski horse-drawn cart or have an 'OMG I got a baby pink Bentley?! moment in the car park. Rather than a Malibu Barbie theme, this was a 'sour sweet sixteen.' Looks like someone has inherited the Depp/ Paradis attitude.
Lily hosted her sour sixteen at the restaurant Ago in Los Angeles, where tables were covered in pink petals, candles and a rainbow of long-stem roses. Lily captioned her picture of her table settings 'sweet sixteen dungeon.'
She didn't spend weeks struggling to book a major celeb appearance like they did on My Super Sweet 16 - she just had to invite her parents. Vanessa Paradis and Johnny Depp and his wife Amber Heard were at the meal.
We do like Lily's birthday mantra - why celebrate in one day, when you can do it in seven? She has stretched out her birthday celebrations over the week, as a few days ago she threw a costume party with her friends.
She wore ruffled pantaloons and a blouse, with a garland made of what could be onions or could be apples around her neck and a Zoro-esque sword. She did bring a touch of My Super Sweet 16 to the look however with a sparkly tiara.
