Light was married to Timothy Smith during her time on MAFS Australia, but they did not find a romantic connection. The pair did leave the experiment as friends but since the show aired, they have fallen out.

Smith blocked Light on social media, saying in a TikTok video, ‘I wish Lu all the best in the future and there is no question that sometimes people’s paths take different directions. And that’s where it is.’
