Cast your mind back to the latest series of Love Island. (We know, it feels like ages and ages ago now.) Remember when it all started to kick off and get a little bit dramatic? When Hugo Hammond publicly - and very awkwardly - called out Toby Aromolaran at the recoupling for how he treated Chloe Burrows. (In the process, it also meant the lovely Georgia Townend was dumped from the villa, after only 48 hours.)
Toby might now be back with Chloe, noopener noreferrer}: 'You don’t get along with everyone in life, that’s how life works. Thirty odd people got thrown in the villa, you’re not gonna get along with all of them. I’d say to 'Hi' to [Hugo], but I wouldn’t call him a close friend, you know.'
He added to The Mirror: 'I've spoken to him just in passing comments and I think I've seen him once just passing by,' he said. 'It's like we're civil. We're not friends, we're not enemies, we're civil.'
Awkward. Though they mustn't hate each other too much - as we checked, and they're still following each other on Instagram.
But according to Hugo, who recently gave an interview to Metro.co.uk, apparently this year's WhatApp group is already dead. 'There’s a cast WhatsApp group, it’s called, “You’ve got a text” and everyone is in it,' he told the website. 'It’s been like a week since anyone has messaged. I think everyone’s on their own grind and graft, and I’m sure everyone speaks to each other separately as well.' He added that it would hopefully 'start popping off again' when there's more events and the islanders are about and out more.
Maura Higgins (series five)
Irish ring girl Maura Higgins was reality TV gold from the moment she stepped into the villa and fed Michael Griffiths dessert on their date just to rile up the OG girls. She then got the fanny flutters for Tommy Fury and tried to steal him from Molly-Mae Hague with the classic line, 'Does she turn you on like I do?' While she didn't manage to bag her man, she later coupled up with Curtis Pritchard who she dated until March 2020.
