Well, Gwyneth Paltrow’s New Netflix Documentary Already Looks Absolutely Wild

The trailer really is quite intense.

Towards the end of last year, we were treated toGwyneth Paltrow being fabulous in The Politician. But now, alongside Goop’s chief commercial officer Elise Loehnen, the lifestyle guru is getting her own series, which will be dropping on Netflix on January 24. And from the looks of the trailer, the six episodes are going to be suitably bonkers.

The teaser clip promises us a look at Goop's more unconventional (and probably dangerous) wellness practises, such as cold therapy, psychedelics and energy healing. But it starts at an orgasm workshop, with the actress asking the group leader, ‘What the fuck are you doing to people? Naked in a room with a bunch of women? I don’t know if I have the guts.’ Elise also kind of states the obvious in the clip, explaining the company’s ethos: ‘What we try to do at Goop is explore ideas that may seem “out there” or too scary.’ (Really? We could never tell by the vaginal egg lawsuit!)

Watch the whole (intense af) trailer below - and if the programme is anything like what the trailer promises it to be, then we can't wait.

The poster for the new series is also just as subtle, with Gwyneth standing in a pink dress, surrounded by what looks like a massive abstract vagina, with the tagline ‘reach new depths’. (As one Twitter user joked, ‘I’m trying to figure out the graphical subtext here, but it’s escaping me.’)

'The Goop Lab explores the universal questions we’re inherently curious about,' Gwyneth said in a statement about the show. 'We took the open-minded approach that we’ve cultivated at Goop and applied a different, visual lens with Netflix. In the process, we found new ways to answer this: How do we make the most of our lives?' Well, we don't know if we're going to participate in any of the trends - but we'll certainly be watching.
