The internet ground to a halt on Friday evening when HBO Max released the first official image from And Just Like That, the new series that will follow up on Sex and the City. The photograph shows Cynthia Nixon, Sarah Jessica-Parker and Kristin Davis in character as Miranda, Carrie and Charlotte as they go about their business in New York.
They have changed, of course. Miranda has said goodbye to her trademark red hair. Carrie is no longer wearing her wedding ring. But people are nevertheless thrilled to have them back. And these days, the best way to show your approval seems to be creating a meme, and some very creative people all over the world have been doctoring the original image in fun ways.
