Selling Sunset'sAmanza Smith has revealed she has blocked co-starChrishell Stause on Instagram, and we are all confused. Is there another big storyline that wasn't shown on screen?
The sixth season of Selling Sunset landed on Netflix on Friday, and it has been full of drama. Whilst the season does not feature any blow-ups between the former friends, Amanza has told fans that we will learn why she and Chrishell are no longer friends 'in due time.'
The pair have always been close friends but it appears they are no longer on the same page. The first rumblings of a broken friendship came once fans realised the fellow Oppenheim Groupagents had unfollowed each other. In a lengthy Instagram comment Amanza alleged Chrishell was 'taking away opportunities' from her and 'affecting' her family.
Apparently, their fallout has nothing to do with Chrishell’s feud with new cast member Nicole Young, which is one of the central storylines of season six, with Amanza suggesting the fall-out runs deeper. She commented, 'My friendship with Nicole definitely has nothing to do with my ending of my friendship with Tarina Stause [sic, Terrina being Chrishell’s birth name].' Amanza also replied to another comment stating, 'Not friends with her in person anymore. I blocked her because the side of her face triggers me and I don’t like to be triggered.'
A fan of the hit reality show took to Instagram to call out Amanza for 'hating on Chrishell for 'no specific reason.' Someone else also commented that they were 'really disappointed' in Amanza, as they hoped she would 'still be close with Chrishell.' Amanza replied to the comment and shared more alleged details surrounding the fall-out. She wrote, 'Since you know my character from the show for many seasons, I think that it is fair for me to say I don't call names or be petty about anything or anyone, unless it directly affects my children. What I will say is when someone takes an opportunity away or let me even dumb it down to this -takes food off of my table, all gloves are off and my ability to be nice goes out the door.'
She continued, 'I think you know what I'm talking about and I think I know who the negative comments are about that you're referring to. I feel very strongly about this. This is not a small issue for me and it is a very serious subject that has affected me and my family.' So, it appears this drama has happened during filming break off-camera and we could see the fallout in season 7...
Yesterday, Smith posted an instagram post speaking on the death of her adoptive father who sadly lost his fight with cancer. Within the caption of the post she did reference Stause, as many will remember she tragically lost both of her parents, Ranae and Jeff Stause, to lung cancer within two years.
She wrote, 'I know that it is very public that Chrishell and I have our own little feud right now however, I also know that she too, has suffered a great deal of pain by losing loved ones from this terrible awful disease. It affects everyone involved in a very heartbreaking way. '
Chrishell previously revealed she hadn’t realised she and Amanza were no longer following one another after it was pointed out to her by a fan on an Instagram post, adding, 'I never unfollowed her and wouldn’t have. But clearly a certain someone’s agenda is working,' she said, alluding to another party’s involvement in their fallout.
With shocked fans trying to get details out of her in the comments of another post, Chrishell said, 'Regardless of what she says there will be no Amanza slander from me. This show convolutes real life and time will show I am not her enemy and never would be.'
