The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives was one of the stand-out reality shows of last year for good reason. The hit Disney+ series followed a group of Salt Lake City Mormon influencers, following news many had been involved in a 'soft swinging' scandal, brought to light by Taylor Frankie Paul, the series' protagonist. Series 1 saw her trying to make amends with the group and regain their trust again. Now the season 2has trailer has dropped, and it turns out these friendships are still on the rocks. Crucially: can the sisterhood can survive more conflict?

Anyone desperate for more power struggles in the Salt Lake City gang can rest easy, as the trailer teases a police van, claims 'MomTok is turning on each other left and right' and inferences that some of the casts' marriages are struggling. 'I never imagined for everything to blow up like this,' Mayci Neeley says.

The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives season two welcomes back the original cast (Demi Engemann, Jennifer Affleck, Jessi Ngatikaura, Layla Taylor, Mayci Neeley, Mikayla Matthews and Whitney Leavitt) and viewers get to see how (and if) they've moved on from the debut season's conclusion. We're also introduced to new cast member, mum-of-two, Miranda McWhorter, who we learn is the former best friend of Paul. 'I'm going to set the record straight on the swinging scandal,' McWhorter boldly says in the trailer.

There were some questions over whether Leavitt would return to the show, as she has publicly distanced herself from the rest of the group and claims to have been given a bad edit following backlash from viewers online. But the trailer confirms that she's trying to get back in with the group.

It also sounds like some new drama unfolds during the show, with Paul teasing that things 'get messy, for sure', while Demi Engemann appears to be involved in a flirting situation during the group's trip to Italy.

If you aren’t up to date on the scandal, here's a quick recap: over on TikTok, there were a group of mum influencers who regularly posted about their Mormon lifestyle – dubbed #MormonMomTok. Queen of the Mormon mums was Taylor Frankie Paul, who has over 4million followers on TikTok, and broke the internet (or at least, #MormonTok) when she revealed she and her husband, Tate Paul, were divorcing after she violated a swinging agreement they’d made with their friends (that’s code for cheating, right?). Also FYI swinging is not an accepted practice in the Mormon religion.

Looks like the group haven't moved on from that bombshell revelation, and are still struggling to trust one another. No doubt we'll find out more in the latest season.
