Baby Reindeer's leading duo Richard Gadd and Jessica Gunning were among the stars in attendance at Sunday's TV BAFTAs, stopping for photographs on the red carpet in their first public appearance since Fiona Harvey's interview with Piers Morgan on Thursday. Despite not giving any interviews of their own, Baby Reindeer fans have been rushing to google 'Richard Gadd response' and 'Richard Gadd interviews' - according to Google Trends-, showcasing just how desperate they are to hear from the comedian in the wake of Harvey's sit-down conversation with Piers.

Both Gadd and Gunning - dressed to the nines in a tux and formal red gown respectively - were greeted with rapturous applause at the Royal Festival Hall when they presented the award for Limited Drama, but again failed to address the interview that's had the world talking.

Gadd's miniseries Baby Reindeer has been a fixture in the headlines since it launched on the streamer and captivated viewers around the globe. Based on a true story, Gadd documents his chilling experience of being stalked by an older woman through the series' lead character Donny Dunn, while Gunning plays Martha Scott, the said older woman. But last weekend, Fiona Harvey entered the Baby Reindeer domain after coming forward as the alleged 'real-life' Martha Scott, later following up with an interview with Piers Morgan. She branded Baby Reindeer a 'work of fiction' and accused Netflix and Gadd of 'lying' in their 'defamatory' depiction, adding that she will be taking legal action.

The decision to put Harvey in the hot seat in the first place was one met with extreme controversy, with X users calling it 'grim', 'exploitative' and 'unethical'.

In light of the interview, some were less than impressed to see Gadd in attendance at the TV BAFTAs, as one wrote on X, 'There is something that does not sit quite right with me that Richard Gadd is being given the opportunity to live the celebrity dream he aspires at the BAFTA TV Awards to have and yet after hearing from Fiona Harvey, I do not know how much of his story I believe on Baby Reindeer.'

It is important to note that Gadd stressed in an Instagram Story last month that he did not want viewers to uncover the real identities of the characters in Baby Reindeer.

'People I love, have worked with, and admire (including Sean Foley) are unfairly getting caught up in speculation. Please don’t speculate on who any of the real-life people could be. That’s not the point of our show,' he wrote.

Regardless, it's clear fans are itching to get a response from Gadd on Harvey's interview. Whether he will give one is a whole other story.
