Earlier this year, we were all getting collectively excited about the Friends reunion{
Ron, Hermione and Harry - aka Rupert Grint, Emma Watson and Daniel Radcliffe - will be putting on their wizarding robes (we presume) in honour of the 20th anniversary of the first film, The Philosopher's Stone. (Yes, we can't believe it's been 20 years either.) The reunion - called Return To Hogwarts -sounds like it'll be a treat for diehard Potterheads, as the stars are going to discuss the franchise with film-maker Chris Columbus.
But they're not going to be the only wizards present, as the show will also feature appearances from Robbie Coltrane,Helena Bonham Carter- who has faced widespread criticism for her comments on transgender people - will not be involved.)
The reunion - which is going to be available on HBO Max (and we presume Now TV, like the Friends reunion) - is going to be aired on New Year's Day.
And it turns out the stars of the show are just as excited about the whole thing as everyone else, as Emma Watson paid tribute to her beloved character on Instagram this morning. 'Harry Potter was my home, my family, my world and Hermione (still is) my favourite fictional character of all time,' she said.
'I think a journalist once said it was irritating how many times during an interview I mentioned how lucky I was and started counting... BUT I DAMN WELL KNEW!!! And still know. I am proud not just of what we as a group contributed as actors to the franchise but also as the children that became young adults that walked that path. I look at my fellow cast members now and I am just so proud of who everyone has become as people. I am proud we were kind to each other that we supported one another and that we held up something meaningful.'
OK - we're not crying, you are.
