42-year-old Nessie Welschinger is an OG cast member of Real Housewives of London, having joined the first series in 2025.
And for any Bake Off fans, you may well recognise her! While her co-stars have dipped their toes into the world of reality TV in the form of millionaire documentaries and other Housewife shows, Nessie has had a different approach – having showcased her skills in Great British Bake Off: The Professionals in 2021.
Where is Nessie Welschinger from?
Nessie is a London native, having grown up in the capital city. Currently, she splits her time between her house in Chelsea, and a historic estate in the Cotswolds.
What does Nessie Welschinger do for work?
Having made her money in the world of finance, Nessie previously worked as global head of equity at Schroders.
However, after becoming a mum, she swapped spreadsheets for spatulas. Nessie is the founder of the Chelsea Cake Company—a brand so posh her confections have graced events across the globe, and even Queen Elizabeth II’s 90th birthday. (Yes, she literally baked for a queen.)
She also appeared on Great British Bake Off: The Professionals in 2021, displaying her impressive baking skills.
Who is Nessie Welschinger's husband?
Nessie is married to Remy Welschinger, who is the founder and managing director of Limehouse Capiutal, and investment holding company specialising in natural resources projects. Up until 2018, he was head of commodities sales in Europe for Deutshce Bank.
The couple share three children together, all of whom appear on the show.
Revealing that it wans’t an easy decision to put her family on TV, Nessie tells Grazia, ‘I think one of the hardest things was relinquishing control of the whole thing and handing over your life to someone else. That was probably my biggest reservation out of everything. But like everyone says, you don’t say no to this. It’s impossible to.’
Did Nessie Welschinger know any Housewives before RHOL?
No – and you best believe she wasn’t down for an Instagram stalk either. The down to earth star reveals, ‘I’m not a good detective. If my girlfriends think that their boyfriends are cheating, I’ll go deep. But for this sort of stuff, I prefer to get to know people at face value. I’d heard enough about everyone.’
