We love the painfully awkward family drama The White Lotus is known for. This season doesn't disappoint either, with yet another dysfunctional rich family and a group of siblings who sort of hate each other (or cross into inappropriate?), plus some great outfits. Sarah Catherine (not just 'Sarah', by the way) is an American actress and classically trained soprano and opera singer. She rose to fame playing Caroline Merteuil in Cruel the Amazon remake of Cruel Intentions, a role previously played by Sarah Michelle Gellar.
Interestingly, the actress says it is Reese Witherspoon, the other star of the original film, who she has always been compared to.
She was born and raised in Montgomery, Alabama and went on to SUNY Purchase College to pursue a degree in Vocal Performance: Opera. Shortly after graduating, she started to pursue acting and began training in New York.

'We all had these stunning, beautiful rooms that we were living in. I felt like a princess. And I knew the second before I even got there, I was like, ‘this is going to ruin my perception of reality.'
Sarah also shared more about her character to ScreenRant, saying she thinks Piper is looking for an escape in Thailand. 'I think that was the intention. I think she's looking for peace, and she's like, I've been with this kooky family long enough.' She added that she thinks Piper is "obviously very sincere and earnest about what she is passionate about'.
