Everyday at 10.30am The Debrief team sits down to discuss the daily news. We call it conference. Today it was interrupted by a conference of a different type: an 11-minute press conference about the new Bond film, which we now know is called Spectre.
Frankly, despite the hype, not much of interest was announced apart from one of our favourite actresses EVER Léa Seydoux has been cast as the lead. Everything about this woman is amazing, everything.
Here’s your need to know:
Last year she stared in Blue Is The Warmest Colour
It was one of the most controversial but also brilliant films of the year, and Léa rightly won the Palme D’or for her work. Before that she appeared in Woody Allen’s Midnight In Paris and 2009’s Inglorious Bastards. Small parts, all brilliant.
She’s French
Not much more to say on that one. She’s from Paris, and that’s pretty cool in itself.
**The fashion world loves her **
She was the face of Miu Miu and did a Prada campaign and starred in Rag & Bone’s AW13 campaign opposite Michael Pitt. But her first modelling job was for American Apparel.
She’s had a fair few awesome magazine covers already
There was the coolest mag ever The Gentlewoman, plus Dazed and ID covers. And we predict many more.
She will be the best part of Spectre
I mean just look at her at this morning’s press conference. It’s obvious.
