May - the greatest time of year to sit on your arse and binge watch Netflix

Netflix: The 7 Best New FIlms And TV Shows To Be Added In May

Seeing as May so far is kind of shitty weather-wise, here's what to stay in and watch instead.

1. An Education

That film about Lynn Barber's relationship with a much older man when she was still a teenager. Lynn claims her relationship with a man nearly twice her age didn't leave any lasting issues but it's an uncomfortable (but jolly good) watch at times. The film that made Carey Mulligan a super duper star.

2. Grace & Frankie - Season 2

Genuinely the best, most heartwarming and LOL funny of all the Netflix Originals series IMHO. Starring Lily Tomlin and Jane Fonda as the odd couple thrust together in their twilight years after their husbands turn out to be a little bit more than just business partners. Watch as 70-something women try dating, roommates and drugs for the first time. It's the actual best.

3. It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia - Season 11

The best comedy show about the most terrible people. Consistently funny for it's full 11 series, It's Always Sunny is too crass for some people but if you *can *handle dark jokes, gross out stuff and watching awful, awful people ruin their already miserable lives, it's going to be one of the funniest shows you've ever watched.

4. Cartel Land

The documentary about the War on Drugs that had everyone buzzing last year. On the Mexican side of the border is the the bonafide silver fox (seriously) José Manuel 'El Doctor' Mireles whose Autodefensas militia grew out of disillusionment with the police and to fight back against the Knights Templar Cartel sweeping through Michoacán state. On the US side of the border, Matthew Heineman the director follows Tim 'Nailer' Foley, a US veteran who heads up a milita intent on rounding up illegal Mexicans trying to get into the country and handing them over to immigration. A fascinating insight into why the War on Drugs is fucked. Watch out for a sad side story involving Mireles' wife too.

5. Bad Neighbours

I never finished this film. The part where Seth Rogan was trying to desparately 'milk' Rose Byrne's breasts after a night of partying was just too damn much.

The sequel with Chloe Grace Moretz that's due in cinemas soon might be more promising though. Mainly because Chloe Grace Moretz seems like a good judge of what's not ok and what is ok. Hopefully.

Watch this in case you need some back story before going to see the sequel. If you have to.

6. Leprechaun

What did Jennifer Aniston do before Friends? Star in this genuinely horrifying horror film about a erm, killer leprechaun. Now, it might be laughable but it's still good for a few jumps if watched in a group situation.

7. Bloodline - Season 2

All hail Kyle Chandler, the ex-Friday Night Lights star who you can't decide if you want to be your dad or your boyfriend. This show, about a family in the Florida Keys that gets caught up in a sticky situation thanks to their erstwhile brother and a dark secret from the past was excellent in season 1. Fingers crossed for season 2.
