Missing You: Here’s Where You’ve Seen The Cast Before

Nothing says it's time to hunker down quite like a new Harlan Coben thriller. The latest in his 14-book deal with Netflix, Missing You, has landed on our screens just in time for January, and we couldn’t be more delighted at an excuse to stay in on the sofa.

The binge-worthy series centres about Kat Donovan, played by Rosalind Eleazar, who is a detective specialising in Missing Persons. The series follows Kat after she discovers her ex-partner on a dating app – despite the fact he vanished without a trace eleven years ago, and she hasn’t heard from him since. Kat must then confront the mysteries surrounding her father’s death in a series of twists and turns that will keep you gripped in true Harlan Coben style.

With a star studded cast, and a few surprising celebrity cameos, the actors in Missing You have certainly got everyone talking. So without further ado, let's delve into the cast... and where you might recognise them from.

Rosalind Eleazar (Kat) is in Slow Horses

Rosalind Eleazar, who plays the lead Kat, is a familiar face on our screens thanks to her role as Louisa in Slow Horses, which she has starred in since 2022. Among her accolades, she has also had roles in the film The Personal History of David Copperfield, Vanyaand the TV series Breeders.

Ashley Walters (Josh) was in Top Boy

Rosalind’s ex Josh Buchanan is played by Ashley Walters, the British actor and rapper who you might know by his stage name Asher D. Aside from his music career, you might recognise Ashley as Dushane Hill from Top Boy. He has also starred in Bulletproof, Safe House, Truckers and Doctor Who.

James Nesbitt (Calligan) is best known for Bloodlands

As the mystery of Kat’s father’s death unravels, we meet Calligan, played by James Nesbitt, who is described as the ‘bad boy’ of the show. He knows things about Kat’s family that were hidden from her. Nesbitt is best known for playing a shadowy detective in BBC’s Bloodlands, and he appeared in Harlan Coben’s Netflix hit Stay Close. He has also starred in Cold Feet, The Missing, Suspect and The Hobbit trilogy.

Richard Armitage (Ellis) is in... everything! But you'll know him from Fool Me Once

Another familiar face from Coben's Stay Close is Richard Armitage, who plays Ellis Stagger in Missing You - Kat Donovan's boss and a dubious police officer. He has also been in Harlan Coben’s other adaptions, including The Stranger and [Fool Me Once]{href='https://graziadaily.co.uk/life/tv-and-film/fool-me-once-season-two/' }- as well as ITV's recent thriller Red Eye, Obsession, and the Hobbit franchise.

Jessica Plummer (Stacey) was in EastEnders

Kat’s best friend Stacey Embalo is played by Jessica Plummer, an actress and singer, who was a member of the British girl group Neon Jungle. Alongside her music career, you might have previously seen Stacey in EastEnders_,_ The Girl Before and The Decameron.

Sir Lenny Henry (Clint) is Sir Lenny Henry (no introduction necessary)

Missing You even features none other than Sir Lenny Henry, who plays Clint, Kat’s dad who is a police officer who got killed. As one of the country’s best-loved comedians, Lenny doesn’t need much of an introduction_._ He is known for hosting The Lenny Henry Show and co-founding Comic Relief but more recently, has starred in The Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power, The Witcher: Blood Origin and Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl.

Steve Pemberton (Titus) is best known for League of Gentlemen

Screen veteran Steve Pemberton plays Titus, who lives in a remote farmhouse where he rears pedigree-grade show dogs - but it turns out he is hiding some pretty scandalous secrets. As for where you've seen Steve before, he's been in pretty much everything. To name a few, he has had starring roles in the League of Gentlemen, Psychoville and Inside No. 9 He has also had notable roles in Happy Valley, Doctor Who, Killing Eve, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and Benidorm.

Brigid Zengeni (Odette) was in House of Anubis

Brigid plays Kat's mum, Odette, who is deeply affected by her husband's murder, but has gradually managed to rebuild her life thanks to the support of close friends. You might recognise Brigid from her roles in House of Anubis, Prosper, The Artful Dodger, Bay of Fires and The Secrets She Keeps. She has also featured in Trying, Bump and Totally Completely Fine.

Mary Malone (Aqua) was in Doctor Who

One of Kat's best friends, Aqua, is played by Mary Malone, who, like many of the characters in Missing You, is harbouring some pretty dark secrets. Mary has had roles in Doctor Who, Vera and The Prince.

Oscar Kennedy (Brendan) was in Breeders

Oscar Kennedy stars as Brendan, a teenager who Kat helps to look for his mother who he believes has gone missing after meeting up with a man she met online. Oscar Kennedy has previously starred in Wreck, Breeders, Ladhood, Home from Home and The White Queen.

GK Barry is known from TikTok

Missing You also features a few cameos which might surprise you. GK Barry, who recently completed a stint on I’m A Celebrity_,_ plays Vanessa, a cam girl whose photograph has been stolen to be used in catfishing. You might also recognise Grace as the host of Saving Grace podcast, but this will be her first foray into the acting world.

Matt Willis was in EastEnders

Within the first few minutes of Missing You, we see a cameo appearance from former Busted singer Matt Willis, who plays a boring man who's on a date with Kat after they met at the gym. His on-screen credentials include acting roles in Eastenders and Birds of a Feather alongside winning the sixth season of I'm a Celebrity.

Lisa Faulkner (Dana) won Celebrity MasterChef

Meanwhile, former Celebrity MasterChef winner Lisa Faulkner appears on our screens in Missing You as Dana Fells. She’s previously had roles in several shows including Holby City, Spooks, EastEnders, Waterloo Road and Death In Paradise.
