Ginny and Georgia is back - and it’s already climbed straight into Netflix’s Top 10 following its return on 5th June.
If you're still not over Ginny and Marcus' break up at the end of Season 2, you may be pleased to meet Wolfe. This season, Ginny’s got a new love interest: Wolfe, a fellow budding poet played by rising star Ty Doran. We're first introduced to Wolfe early in Season 3 after he meets Ginny at a poetry class. By the end of the class he asks Ginny out, marking the start of a developing interest. The pair grow closer as the episodes progress with things getting extra spicy in a laundry room at a house party... need I say more.
Things start to go wrong after Ginny finds out she's pregnant and is met by a negative reaction from Wolfe, leaving her to face an abortion alone. The pair decide to stop seeing each other and agree to stick to being friends.
Who plays Wolfe in Ginny & Georgia?
Meet Ty Doran, 27, a California native who first fell in love with the stage as a kid. His dad, actor and director Justin Doran, cast him in A Midsummer Night’s Dream at age 8, and he’s been hooked ever since. Following in his father's footsteps, Ty starred alongside his dad in productions like, Tigers and A Chorus Line. Since then Ty caught the performing bug for good, eventually swapping the theatre for on-screen roles in his late teens.
He made his on-screen debut in the 2015 short film Brushstrokes, and then appeared in the ABC drama, American Crime (ABC), Hulu's All Night, Chicago Fire, Queen Sugar, and The Blacklist. But it was his breakout role as Cal Stone in Netflix’s Manifest that earned him major fan attention, and almost 100k Instagram followers.
Towards the end of 2024, Ty's Ginny & Georgia casting announcement sent fans into a frenzy, with comments like “I’ll watch for him” and “Not Cal Stone in my other favourite show!”
And in case you’re wondering.... yes, Ty is off the market. He’s happily loved-up with girlfriend Harley, who he isn't afraid to post on the gram.
When it comes to career inspo, Ty cites LaKeith Stanfield as his favourite actor to watch, and John Lithgow as a role model for his acting versatility.
In a recent Instagram post, Ty Doran thanked his castmates and reflected on his time on Ginny & Georgia, describing the show as 'a labour of love and exhaustion'. He also gave a special shoutout to the show’s creators for trusting him with the role of Wolfe. We can't wait to see what Ty does next as his career continues to go from strength to strength.
